Abstract
Dengue is the main human viral disease transmitted by arthropods, and Colombia is one of the countries with greater risk. Its spectrum is very broad and ranges from clinical imperceptible pictures to a life-threatening disease. There are two types: classical and hemorrhagic. Neurological manifestations of dengue occur in one to five percent of cases; usually they tend to be benign and self-limited, with the exception of encephalitis. Physicians working in endemic areas should be alert to recognize the symptoms of the disease and to treat it appropriately. This paper provides a description of neurological manifestations of dengue infection and paraclinical analysis for its diagnosis.
