Abstract
Se presenta el caso de un paciente masculino de 46 años de edad con antecedente de epilepsia focal estructural y alteración cognitiva leve quien acudió al servicio de urgencias por presentar un cuadro clínico de 15 días de evolución consistente en deterioro del estado neurológico, se le realizó una TAC cerebral simple que evidenció múltiples calcificaciones cerebrales en los núcleos basales, sustancia blanca y cerebelo, en conjunto con paraclínicos que reportaron hipocalcemia, hiperfosfatemia e hipomagnesemia y PTH normal, por lo que se enfocó el diagnóstico hacia Enfermedad de Fahr asociado a un pseudohipoparatiroidismo. El síndrome de calcinosis cerebral se define como la acumulación de calcio en el parénquima cerebral, con mayor frecuencia en los núcleos basales.
