Abstract

Even that the status epilepticus is a well known neurological entity, that requires an emergency treatment; thereis not a unique definition that indicate the exact moment to start treatment. Along the time there has been different kind of classifications to define treatment type, etiology and prognosis. In this article there is a revision of different status epilepticus definition and classifications, from the past to the actual International League Against Epilepsy concepts
