Abstract

The actual protocols for status epilepticus treatment, in general are inflexible, and only oriented for the treatment of generalized tonic clonic seizures. They do not consider the kind of seizures, epileptic syndrome, patient age or another patient comorbility. In this paper, base in status epilepticus cases; there is another treatment approach, having as reference seizures type, epileptic syndrome, patient age, comorbilities, and new intravenous antiepileptic drugs available.
